Vidhya Bharathi

Vidhya Bharathi is a special program with a clear goal: to support and uplift underprivileged girls from financially struggling backgrounds in completing their education. We provide financial assistance for their schooling, offer extra coaching sessions, guide them in choosing career paths, and stay committed to helping them all the way to graduation. Our mission is simple: Educate, Empower, and Elevate these girls, ensuring they don't miss out on education due to financial constraints

Launched in 2022 with 37 students, we are soaring towards 500 students in the next 3 years. Academic year 2024-25 will cover 150 students

Selection Process

A Cross functional team, including our team members, teachers, and sponsors go to the shortlisted schools to learn more about the students who might applied for our scholarship. We talk to parents/guardians to ascertain if there is a genuine need. We also carefully check important documents like 10th-grade report cards, School recomdnation report and Aadhar cards to make sure everything is correct.

Once we finish checking the documents and everything looks good, students have interviews with our team. In these interviews, we try to figure out if the students are genuinely interested in studying and if they are committed to doing well in their academics.

At the same time, we also talk to the parents to see if they are ready and able to support their children in focusing on their studies. By doing all these things, we make sure we understand both the students' academic goals and the support they have at home to succeed in

Execution:

Once shortlisted, student's performance is periodically assessed and reported back to the sponsor in the form of Digital Report card (Refer Sample Report Card in Gallery). An open hall is arranged every quarter to discuss with students, sponsors, and teachers to explore ways to elevate performance levels.

We dont limit with fees and academic assessments, rather we fund and conduct special coaching sessions and support the student to perform well in the exams. In addition, we periodically invite illuminates from different fields to interact with our students, thereby widening their perspectives beyond studies. In brief, VB goes beyond the academic realm and covers the 360-degree progress of the child.
